Inter Miami rallies from two-goal deficit

CF Montreal announced today that next weekend Lionel Messi will not be available for the match against his former club, FC Barcelona.

Despite an injury scare in the first half, he played the full match. - In the end, Inter Miami CF was able to rally from a two-goal deficit to earn a 3-2 draw against CF Montreal. Benjamin Cremaschi broke a 2-2 tie in the 83rd minute to give Inter Miami the point.

It was the fifth game in a row that Messi has failed to score or assist on a goal. However, he did play a role in Inter Miami's comeback. He set up Cremaschi's goal with a nice pass.

The draw keeps Inter Miami in the playoff race. They are now 8-9-10 on the season and sit in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. CF Montreal is now 10-8-8 and in sixth place.

The two teams will meet again on September 17th at DRV PNK Stadium. Messi is expected to be available for that match and it should be a good one.
